Weber wins B Final in 100 Yard Backstroke at OHSAA Championship

Midview High School freshman Alyson Weber closed out her historical season with a ninth place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke at the OHSAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championship Friday (February 27) at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.

Weber, who placed 13th in the prelim on Thursday, won the B Final with a time of 58.76 seconds. She actually had the eighth-best time of the night when you add in the A Final participants. Weber is the second Midview swimmer on record to earn All-Ohio honors, as Grace Henely finished 13th in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at the OHSAA Division I Championship in 2024. Weber's performance also made her the highest-finishing Middie ever at the state's pinnacle event.
