Midview to host 2025 SWC Cheerleading Championship on November 2
The 27th annual Southwestern Conference Cheerleading Championship will take place inside the Midview High Schoo's Kubuski Gymnasium on Sunday (November 2) afternoon. Doors open for spectators at 3:15 p.m. and the event begins at 4 p.m.
Presale tickets are available exclusively online via HomeTown Ticketing at https://swcohio.net/tickets. Adult tickets are $10 and Student tickets are $5 (both have additional processing fees). Each school was given 100 tickets to sell via passcodes until October 30 at Noon. Contact a cheerleader of Coach Hicks for details on getting a Midview ticket. The remaining tickets will be available to the public beginning October 31 at 8 a.m. Midview will also offer tickets via cash and credit card at the gate on November 2.
Seven of the eight league schools will compete Sunday afternoon. Amherst Steele High School, Avon High School, Midview and North Ridgeville High School have squads in both divisions, while Elyria High School and Olmsted Falls only have a Game Day squad. Berea-Midpark High School will showcase its new building division Traditional routine and then compete in the Game Day division this season. In additon, the event will showcase some middle school teams as well as Midview Sparkle between competitions to give them the experience of performing in front of a SWC Cheerleading Championship crowd.
Both the Traditional and Game Day scoring is out of 100 points. There will be a Game Day winner, a Traditional Comp winner and a Grand Champion that combines the scores of both divisions. All-SWC will be announced at a later date.
Amherst is the defending SWC Champions after sweeping both divisions in 2024 at Elyria High School.
