Midview Cross Country runs at Patriot Invitational
Midview Varsity Cross Country was back in action after a week off when the Middies competed at the Valley Forge High School Patriot Invitaional, which was hosted at Berea-Midpark Middle School Saturday (September 20) morning.
The Middies girls finished sixth, while the boys placed seventh out of 15 teams.
Sophomore Molly Ockuly paced Midview with a 13th place finish after crossing the 5k line in 21:50.58. Classmate Hannah Bacskay followed closely in 18th (22:33.51). Sophomore Sophia Morgan was the third to cross the finish as she took 25th (23:32.28.). Junior Payton Morgan then placed 66th (26:49.77), junior Madelyn Czellath was 69th (27:35.43) and senior Aubrey Lehota finished 85th (31:54.82).
Midview boys were once again paced by sophomore Hayden Maxwell, who finished 13th with a time of 18:02.50. Sophomore Noah Brady placed 19th (18:29.97) and freshman Andrew Downey followed in 21st (18:32.39). Sophomore Bryce Jamison crossed the line next in 43rd (19:33.27), while junior Andrew Hignett placed 58th (20:06.48), freshman Reed Gibson was 68th (20:41.64), junior Cayden Coker finished 80th (21:07.40), junior Isaiah Lehota took 105th (22:13.64) and freshman Alexander Spicer was 133rd (26:07.82).
The Middies return to racing Saturday (September 27) at the Obenour Invitational at Vermilion High School.
