Midview Cross Country Continues to Set Multiple PRs at Buckeye Invitational
Midview Varsity Cross Country set 11 new personal records and tied two more Saturday (September 6) at the Buckeye High School Invitational. The Middies boys placed 11th out of 20 teams, while the girls took 8th out of 18 squads.
Sophomore Molly Ockuly led her squad by finishing 8th overall with a finishing time of 20:55. Sophomore Hannah Bacskay took 32nd (22:53.12), sophomore Sophia Morgan was 34th (22:55.76), junior Evalynn Thompson placed 69th (24:44.41) and junior Madelyn Czellath finished 74th (25:04.74). Senior Aubrey Lehota wrapped up the Midview runners across the line by taking 119th (30:17.60).
Sophomore Hayden Maxwell continued his solid season by placing 23rd with a time of 17:44. Freshman Andrew Downey followed in 51st (18:33.73). Sophomore Noah Brady was right behind him in 53rd (18:34.62). Sophomore Bryce Jamison was the next Middie to cross the line as he took 78th (19:18.13). Next, was junior Cayden Coker, who was 91st (19:33.60). Junior Andrew Hignett took 110th (20:03.22), and freshman Reed Gibson was 115th (20:21.71) to complete the race.
Midview has a week off before getting back on the course for the Valley Forge Invitational on September 20.
