Midview Cross Country opens season at Keystone Icebreaker

Midview Varsity Cross Country opened its 2025 season with races at the Keystone High School Icebreaker Monday (August 18) at the Lorain County Equestrian Center.

The Middies boys placed 16th among the 24 schools, while the girls did not have enough runners present to register a team score.

Sophomore Hayden Maxwell was the top boys finisher as he took 36th (18:55.09). Sophomore Bryce Jamison followed in 66th (19:56.09). Junior Cayden Coker took 108th (21:10.85). Freshman Reed Gibson placed 155th (22:52.37). Junior Isaiah Lehota was 179th (23:54.81). Freshman Alex Spicer rounded out the competitors by taking 237th (31:25.49).

Sophomore Sophia Morgan led the girls by taking 30th (23:35.11). Junior Alison Winslow took 71st (25:48.83). Junior Madelyn Czellath followed in 91st (27:15.48).

Midview is back to racing on Saturday (August 23) when the Middies compete at the Berea-Midpark Invitational, which takes place at Berea-Midpark Middle School at 10 a.m.
