Avon Lake wins dual against Midview Track and Field

Midview Track and Field hosted Avon Lake High School in a Senior Day Southwestern Conference dual won my the visiting Shoremen and Shoregals on Wednesday (April 22) evening. Avon Lake won the boys competition 66-49 and the girls competition 70-39.

The Middie girls had three individuals win races. Junior Payton Morgan won the 1600m Run, junior Cora Vance won the 400m Dash and junior Alison Winslow won the 800m Run. Midview's boys had freshmen Andrew Downey win the 800m Run, sophomore Nathan Sooy win the Long Jump and junior Jeffrey Wirth win both the Shot Put and Long Jump. In addition, the 4x100m and 4x400m relays captured first place at the event.

Midview Track and Field is back in action Friday (April 24) when it competes in the inaugural Keystone Invitational. Action begins at 4 p.m.
