Weber wins OHSAA Sectional Championship and advances to Districts in two events

Midview High School freshmen Alyson Weber kicked off her first Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) postseason with a strong showing at the 2026 Division II Northeast Sectional on Friday (February 13) on the campus of the University of Akron.

Weber captured first place in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:00.49. She also took third in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:02.19. The performances earned her 36 teams points and Midview a 15th place finish of out 27 teams.

Weber advances to the OHSAA Division II District Tournament Friday (February 20) at Cleveland State University. The competition begins at Noon.
