Varsity Softball drops opener at Elyria Catholic

Midview Varsity Softball opened its 2025 season with a 14-3 six-inning loss to host Elyria Catholic High School on Tuesday (March 25) afternoon.

The Middies had five individuals collect one hit but were plagued by five errors in the field. Senior Briana Farkas had the lone extra base hit, a double down the left field line in the second inning.

Sophomore Savannah Holcomb (0-1) took the loss after giving up 14 runs (8 earned) on 12 hits while striking out five and walking two.

Midview (0-1) will open Southwestern Conference play at home against Amherst Steele High School on Thursday (March 27) at 4:45 p.m. The game will be broadcast by Comets Live at https://www.youtube.com/@CometsLive.
