Boys Soccer opens SWC play with 1-0 over Amherst Steele

Midview Varsity Boys Soccer opened Southwestern Conference play on a high note with a 1-0 victory over visiting Amherst Steele High School Wednesday (August 28) evening on Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium.

Junior Kaiden Vonya broke a scoreless tie with a game-winner in the 48th minute. The Middies defense, anchored by junior goalkeeper Lucas Matesic, held firm to secure the shutout.

Midview (2-2, 1-0 SWC) is back in action Saturday (August 31) for a non-league match-up with Firelands High School. The Alumni Night match-up is varsity only and begins at 7 p.m.
