Midview Football to welcome Olmsted Falls for Senior Night on October 17

Who: Midview High School (4-4, 1-4 SWC) and Olmsted Falls High School (5-3, 3-2 SWC)

What: Week 9 OHSAA Southwestern Conference Varsity Football Game

Where: Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium (38199 Capel Road, Grafton, OH 44044)

When: Kickoff is Friday (October 17) at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Special Events: Midview will celebrate almost 70 fall student-athletes, marching band members and JROTC cadets in a ceremony begining Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Who Needs a Ticket: Everyone Kindergarten age to 59 years of age must have a ticket in order to enter. Senior Citizens (60+) are admitted free regardless of where they live. In addition, Midview Local School and SWC passes will be accepted at any gate. There is no reentry during the first half of varsity football games.

Adult Tickets: Adult Tickets are $10. Presale Tickets are available for adults only at https://midview.hometownticketing.com/embed/all A credit card reader will also be available at both the Main Gate and the Middle School entrance for walk-up tickets. Cash Sales exclusively at the Main Gate. 

Student Tickets: Student Tickets for kids in grades K-12 are $5 and available only at the gate. If paying cash you must use the Main Gate. If using a credit card you can use Middle School entrance or Main Gate.

Specator Notes: No back packs or large bags are allowed in 2025. All kids in attendance will be expected to sit in the stands with their parents or in the assigned student sections. Spectators are prohibited from bringing sporting equipment (footballs, basketballs, etc.) inside Adelsberg Stadium during Varsity Football Games. They will be turned away at the gate. Alcohol and Smoking are also prohibited on the campus of Midview Local Schools.

Specator Note 2: The main gate is now located in the northwest corner next to the new pickleball courts. It will still be marked by the white ticket booth with the blue roof.

Haltime Entertainment: The Olmsted Falls Band will perform first, followed by the Midview High School Marching Blue.

Concessions: The Midview Band Boosters will once again sponsor all concessions during Midview Varsity Football home games. They will be open through the end of the third quarter. There will also be a few different food truck options near the Main Gate.

Last Meeting: The host Bulldogs defeated the Middies 31-10 in the teams' regular season finale on October 25, 2024. Cody Martin completed 19-of-30 passes and threw for 278 yards and a TD. Camden Scott pulled in 7 receptions for 142 yards and a score. Senior Cameron West led the ground attack with 7 carries for 28 yards. Defensively, Brayden Homoki compiled a game-high 19 total stops. 2024 Records: Midview finished 5-6 overall and 2-5 in the Southwestern Conference, while Olmsted Falls went 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the SWC.

2024 Playoffs: The Middies lost 31-14 at Padua Franciscan High School in the first round of the OHSAA Division III playoffs. The Bulldogs won their OHSAA Division II opener 35-7 over Amherst Steele High School before falling 52-35 to Avon High School in the second round.

Midview's Last Game: The Middies ran for six touchdowns, including five by senior Marcus McMahon, in a 41-27 win over visiting Elyria High School in week 8. [Recap].

Olmsted Falls' Last Game: The Bulldogs put up 452 yards on the ground to knock off rival Berea-Midpark High School 46-12 last week.

Midview Head Coach: Head Coach Jack Armstrong is 13-17 in his third season leading the Middies. Armstrong, a 2012 graduate of Midview High School, is a Special Education Coordinator at his alma mater and had served as a varsity assistant coach with the Middies for six of the previous seven seasons before taking over. He is the just the eighth coach in program history, which dates back to the consolidation of Belden, Eaton and Grafton high schools in 1955.

Olmsted Falls Head Coach: Head Coach Tom Deluca has compiled a 92-53 record over his 13 seasons with the Bulldogs. 

Midview Stat Leaders: Senior Marcus McMahon has 180 carries for 1,006 yards and 19 TDs. He has also caught 11 passes for 110 yards and 1 TD. Senior Shay Williams has completed 89-of-159 passes (56.0%) and thrown for 1,237 yards and 6 TDs while also rushing 53 times for 226 yards and 2 TDs. Senior Zachary Wallace has a team-best 35 catches for 628 yards and 3 TDs, while junior Brennen Newton has 23 grabs for 292 yards and 3 TDs. Defensively, senior Brayden Homoki has 115 tackles, senior Braden Armold has 65 tackles and junior Sawyer McMillin has 47 stops hrough eight games. Senior Kaiden Vonya is 18-of-20 and senior Christopher Payne is 8-of-9 in extra-point attempts this season.

Midview Returning Lettermen: Midview returns 19 letterwinners from a year ago, including a trio of two-year lettermen in Brayden HomokiLeo Swirynsky and Zachary Wallace

SWC Non-Conference Success: The 8 SWC teams combined to go 14-10 over the first three weeks against non-league opponents. [Standings]

Playoff Outlook: Midview currently sits 13th in Division III Region 10, while Olmsted Falls is fifth in Division II Region 6 through week 8 of the season. The top 12 of each region make the playoffs in 2025. The Bulldogs control their own destiny, while the Middies are projected to miss the playoffs.
