Midview Football to host rival North Ridgeville for Homecoming in week 6

Who: Midview High School (3-2, 0-2 SWC) and North Ridgeville High School (4-1, 1-1 SWC)

What: Week 6 OHSAA Southwestern Conference Varsity Football Game

Where: Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium (38199 Capel Road, Grafton, OH 44044)

When: Kickoff is Friday (September 26) at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Special Events: The 2025 Homecoming court and Hall of Honor recipients will be introduced before the game, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Who Needs a Ticket: Everyone Kindergarten age to 59 years of age must have a ticket in order to enter. Senior Citizens (60+) are admitted free regardless of where they live. In addition, Midview Local School and SWC passes will be accepted at any gate.

Adult Tickets: Adult Tickets are $10. Presale Tickets are available for adults only at https://midview.hometownticketing.com/embed/all A credit card reader will also be available at both the Main Gate and the Middle School entrance for walk-up tickets. Cash Sales exclusively at the Main Gate. 

Student Tickets: Student Tickets for kids in grades K-12 are $5 and available only at the gate. If paying cash you must use the Main Gate. If using a credit card you can use Middle School entrance or Main Gate.

Specator Notes: No back packs or large bags are allowed in 2025. All kids in attendance will be expected to sit in the stands with their parents or in the assigned student sections. Spectators are prohibited from bringing sporting equipment (footballs, basketballs, etc.) inside Adelsberg Stadium during Varsity Football Games. They will be turned away at the gate. Alcohol and Smoking are also prohibited on the campus of Midview Local Schools.

Specator Note 2: The main gate is now located in the northwest corner next to the new pickleball courts. It will still be marked by the white ticket booth with the blue roof.

Haltime Entertainment: The North Ridgeville Marching Band will perform first, followed by the Midview High School Marching Blue.

Concessions: The Midview Band Boosters will once again sponsor all concessions during Midview Varsity Football home games. They will be open through the end of the third quarter. There will also be a few different food truck options near the Main Gate.

Last Meeting: North Ridgeville defeated visiting Midview 38-20 on October 4, 2024. Marcus McMahon had a pair of one-yard TD runs, while Dior Jones had a 55-yard punt return for a TD in the loss. [Recap]

2024 Records: Midview finished 5-6 overall and 2-5 in the Southwestern Conference, while North Ridgevile went 9-3 overall and 5-2 in the SWC.

2024 Playoffs: The Middies lost 31-14 at Padua Franciscan High School in the first round of the OHSAA Division III playoffs. The Rangers defeated Start High School 42-6 before falling to Wadsworth High School 21-10 in the second round of the OHSAA Division II tournament.

Midview's Last Game: Senior Marcus McMahon scored four touchdowns, including a 60-yard run and 85-yard kickoff return but the high-power Titans of Berea-Midpark defeated Midview 42-27. [Recap].

North Ridgeville's Last Game: The Rangers defeated host Elyria High School 35-7. Cole Miller threw 30-yard and 11-yard TDs while also running for a 9-yard score in the win.

Midview Head Coach: Head Coach Jack Armstrong is 12-15 in his third season leading the Middies. Armstrong, a 2012 graduate of Midview High School, is a Special Education Coordinator at his alma mater and had served as a varsity assistant coach with the Middies for six of the previous seven seasons before taking over. He is the just the eighth coach in program history, which dates back to the consolidation of Belden, Eaton and Grafton high schools in 1955.

North Ridgeville Head Coach: Head Coach Bryan Morgan is in his fifth season and has compiled a 29-21 record with the Rangers.

Midview Stat Leaders: Senior Marcus McMahon has 111 carries for 651 yards and 11 TDs. He has also caught 9 passes for 103 yards and 1 TD. Senior Shay Williams has completed 58-of-101 passes for 863 yards and 6 TDs while also rushing 40 times for 170 yards and 2 TDs. Senior Zachary Wallace has a team-best 23 catches for 401 yards and 3 TDs, while junior Brennen Newton has 14 grabs for 147 yards and 3 TDs. Defensively, senior Brayden Homoki has 74 tackles, senior Braden Armold has 47 tackles and junior Jace Wright has 32 stops hrough five games. Senior Kaiden Vonya is 15-of-17 in extra-point attempts this season.

Midview Returning Lettermen: Midview returns 19 letterwinners from a year ago, including a trio of two-year lettermen in Brayden HomokiLeo Swirynsky and Zachary Wallace

SWC Non-Conference Success: The 8 SWC teams combined to go 14-10 over the first three weeks against non-league opponents. [Standings]

Playoff Outlook: Midview currently sits eighth in Division III Region 10, while North Ridgeville is sixth in Division II Region 6 through week 5 of the season. The top 12 of each region make the playoffs in 2025.
