Midview Cross Country competes at Obenour Invitational

Midview Varsity Cross Country competed in the Obenour Invitational, hosted by Vermilion High School, Saturday (September 27) morning. The Middie girls placed fifth, while the boys took 12th at the event.

Sophomore Molly Ockuly earned a fifth place finish with a time of 21:37.51. Sophomore Hannah Bacskay followed in 22:15.85 to place 12th. Sophomore Sophia Morgan came in 35th (25:08.37), junior Evalynn Thompson took 39th (25:16.83), junior Alison Winslow placed 47th (25:39.41), junior Payton Morgan was 55th (27:11.40) and junior Madelyn Czellath finished in 57th (27:32.55).

Sophomore Hayden Maxwell paced his squad with a 19th place finish by crossing the line in 18:03.45. Sophomore Noah Brady took 54th (19:34.35), junior Andrew Hignett was 71st (20:11.86), sophomore Bryce Jamison finished 75th (20:14.22), freshmen Reed Gibson was 85th (21:04.21), junior Cayden Coker took 93rd (22:34.06) and freshman Alexander Spicer was 97th (25:54.42).

The Middies now prepare for the Southwestern Conference Championship at Lorain County Community College on October 11.
