Midview Girls Soccer defeats Padua 2-1

Midview Varsity Girls Soccer earned a 2-1 non-conference road victory at Padua Franciscan High School Monday (September 29) evening.

The Middies took a 1-0 lead when senior Riley Frei converted a penalty kick following a foul in the box with 22:32 to play in the game. The Bruins tied the game with just under six minutes left. Midview, quickly responded with the game-winner 90 seconds later when senior Rachael Anderson found sophomore Hannah Bacskay open inside the box, and Bacskay won the one-on-one face-off with the keeper.

The Middies (4-8-2, 0-5 SWC) visit Olmsted Falls High School on Wednesday (October 1) at 7 p.m.
