Midview Girls Basketball ends season with loss at No. 3 Canfield

Midview Varsity Girls Basketball's bid for an upset in its OHSAA Division III Sectional Final match-up at No. 3 Canfield High School fell short, as the Cardinals eliminated the No. 28 Middies from postseason play with a 64-39 victory Saturday (February 21) afternoon.

Sophomore Leila Morgan returned to the lineup and paced the team with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Hunter Crum added 12 points in the loss. She connected on four three point field goals to cap her single-season school record at 56 and extend her school record to 125 three pointers made in her career.

Midview finished the year 7-16 and 4-10 in the Southwestern Conference. It marked the end of a historic career for its three-point queen Hunter Crum and 1,000-point scorer Leah DiFranco, as well as classmates Madeline Babel, Riley Frei, Jordin Kinder, Annabella Makowski and Amelia Volney.
