Berea-Midpark tops Midview Softball 6-2

Midview Varsity Softball dropped a 6-2 Southwestern Conference game to visiting Berea-Midpark High School on Wednesday (April 22) evening. The loss snapped the Middie's five game win streak. 

Senior Olivia Keenan had a solo home run in the bottom of the second and produced two of the team's four hits. Midview did walk seven times, but failed to get that key hit with the bases loaded in both the third and fourth innings. Despit that, the Middies led 2-1 after four frames. The Titans, however, took control with five runs across the final three innings.

Junior Savannah Holcomb (7-3) suffered the loss after allowing six runs on 10 hits with one walk and nine strikeouts over seven innings.

The Middies (11-5, 6-3 SWC) will return to the new turf for their seventh game in six days when rival North Ridgeville High School visits Thursday (April 23) for a game at 4:45 p.m. The Rangers took game one of the season 3-2 on April 8.
