Midview Boys Tennis eliminated on day one of OHSAA Sectional Tournament

Midview Varsity Boys Tennis had three doubles teams compete in the OHSAA Division I Sectional Tournament Monday (May 11) at Highland High School.

Senior Brayden Homoki and junior Ryan Quinn opened their tournament with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Elyria High School, before being eliminated by fourth-seeded Westlake High School 6-1, 6-0. 

Seniors Marcus McMahon and Kaiden Vonya battled Strongsville High School in their opener but ultimately fell 7-5, 6-2.

Junior Lila Booth and senior Trenton Popek dropped their opener to St. Edward High School 6-1, 6-2.

The Middies will close out their season at home against North Ridgville High School on Tuesday (May 12). The Southwestern Conference match has been rained out multiple times.
