Amherst edges Midview Boys Tennis 3-2

Midview Varsity Boys Tennis dropped a 3-2 Southwestern Conference match to host Amherst Steele High School on Wednesday (April 22) afternoon.

It was the Middies' third straight day of five in which they will play a league match after rain washed out much of the early season's schedule. Midview had won the previous two matches.

The Comets won all three singles matches, while the Middies took care of business in doubles. Seniors Marcus McMahon and Kaiden Vonya won 6-3, 6-0 at first doubles, and junior Lila Booth and junior Trenton Popek combined to win 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles.

The Middies (3-4, 2-3 SWC) play host to Elyria High School on Thursday (April 23) at 4:30 p.m.
