Midview Game Day takes runner-up at OHSAA Division III Spirit Championship

Midview Game Day Competition Cheerleading finished as the 2024 OHSAA Division III Spirit Championship runner-up Saturday (December 14) on the campus of Wittenberg University.

The Middies went head-to-head with 10 other squads in the qualifying round. Midview then earned a division-best 46.17 in the crowd leading and 45.47 in the band chant and fight song portion to compile a 91.63 score in the finals. Norwalk High School was crowned champions of Division III with a 94.0 (45.57 crowd leading and 48.43 band chant and fight song). Dover High School (83.83) placed third.

Head Coach Katie Hick's program has now finished runner-up three straight seasons after placing third in 2021. The first three years Midview was in Division II before dropping down a division in 2024-25.

The Middies return to competition with the OAC Championship January 12 at Marysville High School.
