Midview Girls Bowling takes runner-up at SWC Tournament for third straight season
Midview Varsity Girls Bowling had its attempt to win the 2026 Southwestern Conference Tournament come up short as the Middies placed runner-up Sunday (February 8) at Nautical Lanes.
Midview, who has now took second three straight years, led rival Amherst Steele High School by 55 pins after the three traditional games. The Comets, however stormed back in the final two baker games to edge out the Middies 3,169 to 3,139.
Sophomore Addison Salkiewicz finished fifth as an individual with a 485 three-game series (143-179-163). Sophomore Mady Schafrath was hot on her tail in sixth with a 482 series (152-170-160). Sophomore Olivia Price took 12th with a 456 series (156-154-146), while sophomore Jordyn Sprague (415 series) tied for 17th, and sophomore Kaylani Carrucini (395 series) placed 19th at the event.
The Middies' next competition is the OHSAA Division I Sectional Tournament on Sunday (February 15) at Yorktown Lanes. Action begins at 9 a.m.
